Preferred Expands In India
Preferred Hotel Group continues to build its presence in India. There are now 19 luxury and independent hotels in the sub-continent region that are members of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Preferred Boutique, Summit Hotels & Resorts or Sterling Hotels. The Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur is the latest addition to Preferred’s portfolio. Opened in May 2009, the 80-room lakeside hotel enjoys spectacular views of the City Palace, the heritage city of Udaipur and the surrounding mountains. Designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley and interior designer Jeffrey Wilkes, the hotel combines traditional elements of Rajasthan artistry with contemporary interiors. The Spa by ESPA offers a haven for rejuvenation with 14 treatment rooms and nine spacious tents.
